Contact Details
With the
completion of the project, the office has now closed. However, you can
still contact the following people who were involved in key aspects of the
SHELL Project. Although in reality the team worked collaboratively in
all areas, we have indicated the main divisions of
responsibility so that you can see who might be the best person to contact.

David Croot
Standards |
David led the Standards Team which
was collectively responsible for developing and agreeing a
cross-institutional
learner record.
This involved orchestrating dialogue between colleagues at partner
institutions who had an interest in PDP processes and some awareness of
the emergent IT systems in FE and HE which were developing to support
learners and teachers. The team completed the specification and
implementation of an inter-operable formal record of learning,
accessible via a learner portal.
David is now working towards the specification of the informal aspects
of the Learner Record within the JISC-funded "PDP4Life Project" |

Evaluation and Dissemination |
Jon led the evaluation and
dissemination aspects of the SHELL Project. This included
the development of an evaluation and dissemination strategy at the
bidding stage, and its subsequent implementation across the partnership
network. The evaluation role
involved designing and managing a cross institutional 'sign off' process
for the evaluation of product deliverables, establishing and securing
agreement for evaluation criteria. This role included organising
interim stage and final stage evaluation
with external consultants. The
dissemination role
encompassed the development of the project video, logos, newsletters, briefing papers,
posters, and conference publications.
Jon continues to manage the SHELL Project website. |
